I recently completed my undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Pécs in 2023. In the same year, I embarked on my PhD journey, diving headfirst into the world of virology. My introduction to the virology lab took place in 2022 as part of my TDK (Scientific Student Circle) and diploma thesis.
Within the realm of virology, my passion revolves around the intriguing world of antiviral compounds and understanding their mechanisms of action. I am particularly fascinated by virus-host interactions, with a specific focus on flaviviruses and alphaviruses. Among them, the Zika virus holds a prominent place in my research interests.
My overarching goal is to contribute to the development of therapies and interventions aimed at combatting viral infections, offering hope in the fight against these formidable adversaries.
