I commenced my university journey in 2018 at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Pécs, and proudly graduated in 2023. My undergraduate academic endeavor culminated in a compelling bachelor thesis, which centered on the genetic comparison of two morphotypes within an invasive mosquito species, Aedes koreicus. This investigation was based on the mitochondrial COI gene, shedding light on the genetic diversity within the species.
My journey into the world of virology began in the summer of 2022 when I joined the esteemed National Laboratory of Virology. My research focus has remained rooted in the fascinating realm of mosquitoes, their potential role as vectors of pathogens, and the crucial task of monitoring the spread of invasive mosquito species.
In September 2023, I embarked on a new academic chapter, commencing my Master's degree program in biology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Pécs. It's worth noting that my master's thesis will also delve into the captivating world of mosquitoes. Additionally, I'm setting my sights on expanding my research horizons to encompass other arthropod vector organisms in the future.
